Worth knowing before you commit
- Local transport unions run the vehicles inside Betaab, Aru, Chandanwari and Sonmarg — your package cab cannot enter. Budget ₹2,000–4,000 per valley.
- Gondola Phase 2 is weather-dependent and sells out; it is booked separately on the day.
- Mobile internet has been suspended in the past during unrest. Download offline maps.
- Prepaid SIMs from outside J&K do not work. Postpaid does.
Common questions
Why are local cabs excluded inside the valleys?
Betaab, Aru and Chandanwari are served by local transport unions that outside vehicles are not permitted to enter. Everyone pays this locally; we tell you up front rather than at the barrier.
Snow in December?
Gulmarg is reliable from late December. Srinagar itself gets snow some years and not others — we will not promise you a white Dal Lake.

The standard circuit, run at a pace that doesn't reduce the Taj to a 40-minute photo stop.

Kerala for Two
Tea hills, a spice plantation, and a private houseboat — with the drives arranged so you aren't in the car at sunset.
