Questions people ask before booking

How bad is the altitude, honestly?

Leh is 3,500m and Pangong is 4,350m. Most people are fine with the two acclimatisation days we build in; a minority get headaches and nausea regardless. Every vehicle carries oxygen and we can descend quickly if needed.

Why no winter departures?

Khardung La and Chang La close under snow, and Nubra and Pangong become unreachable by road. We would rather run nothing than sell you a trip that can't go where the itinerary says.

Is the Pangong camp heated?

Tents have thick bedding and a heater, but it still drops close to freezing at night even in July. Bring a warm layer to sleep in.
